Interior design project for the renovation of a historic residential building in Malta.
This typical Maltese stone house of character is located in a residential complex very quiet and clean in Attard town and needs a profound restoration. All the spaces have been redesigned to enhance the quality and the relationship with the exterior, with views and terraces on the internal garden and the patio; the appearance and the conformation of the original façades has been mantained instead.
The entrance, overlooking the “japanese” patio, leads to main area of the house, a big and bright open-space that houses the kitchen, the dining room and the living room, with a tradition maltese stone fireplace and large windows as main protagonists. Two bathrooms and the playroom complete this floor. At the first floor we find an ensuite masterbedroom and the two kid’s and guests rooms. The basement, accessible from the patio, hides a treasure with maltese stone covering and arched ceiling: a fully equipped wine cellar. The interior design reflect a country chic style, with wood and stone, delicate wallpapers and neutral tones, that provides a general sense of relax and warmth.
